Let's all give thanks to Richard J. Gatling for giving us some of the coolest weapons in history... the minigun, the Vulcan gun, the GAU-8. Hell yeah! :D

Took a slightly different direction with this one. After using Photoshop for 4 years, I finally figured out who to get a variable thickness on the lineart so I took the opportunity to experiment with it. I also put a bit more detail on Bors' muscles here. And he'd need muscles like that to lift a modern Gatling gun. Most if not all need to be mounted on a plane, helicopter or ship to be fired.

I'm pretty proud of this one. :D

Thats an awesome picture! you did an awesome job on it! I really love how you did the smoke coming out of the gun.

Yeah, it's amazing the way the history of the Gatling gun went. It was extremely popular back in the American Civil War because of their devastating rate of fire, but once blowback and recoil weapons were invented like the Maxim gun, these fell into disuse. But around 1940-1950, aircraft manufacturers needed a system of delivering a high rate of fire, so General Electric started making Gatling guns again for Lockheed-Martin and other contractors.

Gotta love it. :D
